Special shout out to Madhur, the assistant manager who helped me today. I came in for an oil change. Turns out they were down a mechanic but still did their best to get me out on time for work, which they did! They were also able to help me with some pricing things and their service was extremely friendly and kind. Would totally recommend!

Absolutely dishonest service - go somewhere else!First experience with this shop was 2 years ago when I changed my four tires - at the time, they provided a good deal. First surprise came when they said they would not complete the work unless I changed all the TPMs (at a huge cost) because one was faulty. This was known to me, and not to be an issue, the tires were just fine. I went ahead and completed the work as it was still under what other retailers offered.Fast forward to December 2022. Tires have lots of life left in them. My wife took the car back for a puncture repair on a tire that had twice been fixed apparently, as they offer 'free puncture repairs' if you purchased the tires with them - They apparently found the tire being beyond repair, with a puncture that compromised tire integrity. This required a change of all four tires, with the added cost and environmental impact - when the tires have less than 30K km on them. This was told to my wife and I was left wondering if the same explanation would have been given to me (reading others responses on here), and they only gave her a quote for 4 brand new tires without any explanation in writing. I asked for this over email, to find the same few words in their quote.I then took the tire to my trusted mechanic - who found two VERY different issues: first the bead wasn't sealing properly due to dirt, and second the tire had a puncture that was not compromising integrity and was a simple fix. They found a very small valve leak, which had been a known issue since I took the tire for a repair at this shop a long time ago. Quite the different diagnosis. The cost to professionally repair all this, $45 versus over $1.2K (not to mention the waste of 4 perfectly functional tires).I spoke to the manager of the shop on the phone after a couple of emails - in short, his explanation is that he stands behind his team. He said he would check if this was a mistake made by his team, but as yet have to hear back. I believe this was a very dishonest service, targeted at predatory selling me (or my wife, rather) 4 new tires to bump their sales. I'd definitely steer away from this shop - not only did they provide an absolutely terrible service but they really don't do well with their own internal quality control and customer service. Don't hesitate to get a second opinion when things get pricey with them - wouldn't be surprised if they're just plainly lying to sell you stuff. Lots of other options around, and you may save some money and headache.

I recently had an appointment for a winter tire to summer tire change at Kal Tire, but unfortunately overslept and missed my appointment. I was concerned about finding a solution since not all mechanics in downtown have the size of equipment to change the tires on my Porsche Panamera. I dropped off my vehicle at Kal Tire to Madhur J. with the hopes of getting in as soon as possible, and to my surprise, Madhur and the team were able to accommodate me right away! They had a cancellation and put me in immediately, even though they were fully booked. I was so relieved and grateful! The team at Kal Tire was extremely professional, kind, and accommodating, and I couldn't have asked for better service. They went above and beyond to help me out and made the process as smooth as possible. I highly recommend Kal Tire for their expertise, equipment, and exceptional customer service. Do not go near this place for anything other than putting on tires. Recently paid for a mechanical service. Got told everything was fine, alignment was done. A few weeks later I am having issues with driving and noticing noises. Brought it to a different mechanics: both ball joints worn, hole in CV boot, issue with the axle. I was charged for an inspection they either didn't do or were not competent to do. Do not go near these guys.

I would like to share my experience of my first visit at kal tire. I went to their Main Street location for my tire inspection as I was getting low tire pressure warning for few day’s and other place where I got them checked they said my tires are too old they need to be replaced, and I started calculating my budget, but before finalising I came to kal tire for second opinion. They inspected the tires and said they are all fine they just need some pressure adjustment and some light reset. I was shocked and very happy at the same time, being a single mother spending $1200 on tires is a big expense.I was freeking out so much but their on duty manager was very nice person he patiently explained me about my tires condition offered me coffee and water. And did not charged me anything. I was so impressed I really appreciate his honesty and how he explained me everything, I have no knowledge about tires and cars it’s very easy to sell tires to me.Today when everyone is trying to take advantage of you there companies like Kal Tire and their team have high values and ethics.You have won my trust and confidence for life I will recommend kal tire to everyone.And also I forgot to ask the name of their manager, I am a teacher I meet so many people everyday and just want to say that people like him make this world a better placeThank you - Martha

Madhur, manager, and his team truly went above and beyond to accommodate to my tire emergency on a cold rainy day when the tire pressure warning light came on in my car. They were not able to fix the issue immediately so they made sure they pressure checked my tire and booked me an appointment at the earliest possible date. When showed up for the appointment, the team were prompt and efficient and had me back on the road in 30 minutes.What an amazing manager and the team at this location!

I had a great experience with Kal Tire when I got a warning for a run-flat tire while driving on Kingsway. Thankfully, Kal Tire was just a few kilometres away and they fixed the issue for free. Their service was fantastic and I wanted to express my appreciation for a job well done. I highly recommend Kal Tire for their excellent customer service and expertise

Have always had incomparable service and customer care at Kaltire. I had my winters taken off in May and was advised the tires needed to be changed. I was able to get a good quote over the phone and he made sure they were fit for my needs. Booked me in right away for the new appointment and was also offered free storage for the season as my previous ones should have been tossed before. Thank you to the wonderful team here!

I thought I give Kal Tire (Main street) a try after seeing how they have 4 stars.I came in to have to 2 - USED tires installed. I personally thought they were good but I guess it turns out that they were not. (inner side walls had a small puncture. (MY FAULT)My reason for the 1 star, is because I had asked if everything was good before picking them up. The person over the phone said everything was great.So if everything was great why would you not let me know that the tires had issues. I would have been okay that you mounted the tires then as you put air in, to find out that there was a leak. That would have been my fault and I would have still paid for the service.BUT! Why would you go balance the wheels to charge me another $60, when I can't even use the tires.... definitely no integrity here. I would stay after from these guys!*UPDATE*The assistant manager, Madhur. Reached out to me and apologize for the situation. He also agreed that it was not right. I was refunded the balanced fees. I'm glad that they were willing to help me and resolve this issue! 1 to 3 stars.

Purchased winter tires at Kal Tire immediately after purchasing my vehicle. I decided to maintain ALL service with Audi and today went to swap from winter to summer. Prior to my appointment Audi notified me of all these markings on all of my rims which cannot be removed. Never in a million years did it occurr to me to inspect their work after they swapped the tires. They use glue that is impossible to remove. The markings are not coming off and are seemingly permanent.It took me some time to get a hold of kal Tire so I decided to drive down instead. I let them know that I wasn't extremely happy about how my rims look and they had advised it was a safety precaution. I let him know I didn't love the look so they booked an appointment for me to come have it removed.
